All sets are flicker free (full-wave rectified). Each of these sets covers 2500 to 3600 sq. ft. It's so easy - simply roll the string out and stake each of the 36 LEDs. That's it! I went with these very confidently based on the two 5 star reviews. However, for my taste there were just not enough lights in the reel to justify the purchase. Granted, these will cover a lot of area but the lighting is at best sparse. I also had a broken lightbulb which made it even worse, because I felt that I had to make each lightbulb count. If you do decide to go with these, one tip I have for all the slack from the wires (which you will have plenty of) is to wrap the slack around the stakes, and then put them into the ground. That gives a much cleaner look. Apart from that, this is the one and only christmas I will be using them for.
